Demountable Metal Bunk Bed
A two-tier metal bunk that takes apart completely, down to the ladder. The uprights are 40 × 40 × 1.5 mm, with C-channel side rails and a perforated sheet guardrail and headboard.
The sections are welded-seam tube as they come from the mill, but nothing on the bed is welded together, so it packs far tighter than a bolt-together build, which is what makes it the choice for long routes and large volumes.

It fits projects where the freight cost per bed decides the budget, from high-occupancy dormitories to hostels and worker housing. Because it ships apart and builds up on site, it also suits buildings where lifts and stairwells make a made-up bunk awkward to carry in.

Every unit ships palletized. On the 40 ft HC and the truckload the limit is weight rather than space, since 400 units come to about 23,200 kg and the load reaches its weight allowance before it fills the volume. Road weight limits differ by country, so we confirm the final count with you against your route before shipment. On the 20 ft DC the limit is volume, not weight.
The diagram lays out 13 pallets at 32 units, which comes to 416. The last pallet is loaded short so the truck stays within its weight limit, giving 400.

- Payment: 30% advance and 70% before loading. A confirmed, irrevocable L/C at sight is also accepted.

Frequently asked questions
What makes this model demountable?
Everything comes apart, including the ladder. The difference is in the side rail. On our standard model the bed base cross members are welded inside the C-channel, so that assembly stays fixed. Here a perforated sheet is riveted to the front of the channel and the cross members pass through those holes instead of being welded, so the whole bed comes apart. That is why it loads far more units per container.
Does it take longer to assemble?
Yes. There are more parts to put together than on the standard and economic models, so assembly takes longer. The work itself is straightforward and needs no special tools.
Can this be used as two single beds?
Yes. It stacks as a two tier bunk or separates into two single beds, which suits dormitory and camp projects where the layout changes.
What is the clearance between the two beds?
The gap between the lower and upper bed is 739 mm, and the lower bed sits 365 mm off the floor. The clearance can be changed to suit your project.
How much weight does the bunk take?
We do not publish a load figure, since we have not had the bunk load tested. What we can tell you is how it is built. The bed base sits on 20 × 30 × 0.8 mm cross members, 10 per bed and 20 per bunk, so the load spreads across the frame rather than a few points. The bunk is built for adult use in dormitories, worker housing, and camps.

How does this differ from the other two models?
This is the most compact of the three at 1709 mm tall, against 1780 mm for the economic and 1880 mm for the standard. It uses C-channel side rails with a perforated sheet guardrail and headboard, and it is the only model that takes apart completely.
Can the bunk be fixed to the floor?
Yes, floor-fixing feet with anchor holes are available as an option, so the bunk can be dowelled to the floor for extra stability in high-use rooms.
