Economic Metal Bunk Bed
A two-tier metal bunk built from box section, with no wood headboard detailing. The main uprights are 40 × 40 mm box section, powder coated, and the ladder slots into the side rails rather than being welded on.
It works two ways. Stack it as a bunk, or take it apart into two single beds, which makes it a practical fit for dormitories and camps where the room layout changes.

Where it's used
It suits shared sleeping quarters where a fixed number of beds go into a set floor area, from student and worker dormitories to barracks, military camps, and field camps. The two-into-one option lets the same order cover rooms that need bunks and rooms that need single beds.

Standard loading is on pallets, which load and unload faster and stack and separate better in the warehouse. The loose figure is the extra that fits in the leftover space without pallets, when the highest count per load matters. A fully loose load is also possible, but it adds only a little over the palletized and loose figure, since the gain is mainly the pallet height.

- No fixed minimum order. Orders under €2,000 carry a €150 customs handling fee.
- Payment: 30% advance and 70% before loading. A confirmed, irrevocable L/C at sight is also accepted.

Frequently asked questions
Can this be used as two single beds?
Yes. It stacks as a two tier bunk or separates into two single beds, which suits dormitory and camp projects where the layout changes.
How does the ladder attach?
The ladder slots into CNC cut holes in the 60 × 30 mm side rails, top and bottom, so it stays fixed once the bunk is assembled. It can be taken off if the upper bed is removed, and it is fitted on the right side as standard with left available on request.
What is the clearance between the two beds?
The gap between the lower and upper bed is 870 mm, and the guardrail on the upper tier is 350 mm high. The clearance can be changed to suit your project.
How much weight does the bunk take?
We do not publish a load figure, since we have not had the bunk load tested. What we can tell you is how it is built. The bed base sits on 10 cross members per bed and 20 per bunk, where 6 is the usual count, so the load spreads across the frame rather than a few points. The bunk is built for adult use in dormitories, worker housing, and camps.
What mattress sizes fit?
The standard is 90 × 200 cm, with 90 × 190, 80 × 190, and 80 × 200 also available. Tell us the size you need with your order.
How does this differ from the standard bunk bed?
This model has a box section body with no wood headboard detailing, and a slot in removable ladder rather than the welded U shape ladder on the standard model. Both are two tier metal bunks made in Turkey.
Can the bunk be fixed to the floor?
Yes, floor-fixing feet with anchor holes are available as an option, so the bunk can be dowelled to the floor for extra stability in high-use rooms.
Are mattresses included?
Mattresses can be supplied separately, with the bunk or later.
Can the economic bunk ship knocked down?
The economic bunk is welded and ships unassembled, then bolts together on site. The base support profiles can be supplied loose rather than welded if needed, though this loads without pallets and adds assembly time, so for a fully knock-down build our demountable model is the better fit. The headboards stay welded on this model.
